ID number data in the PCM and the instrument cluster do not match.

DTC: B2139/P1260

DETECTION CONDITION

• ID number data in the instrument cluster and the PCM are different.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Necessary procedures were not performed using the M-MDS after replacing the PCM.

• Instrument cluster malfunction

• PCM malfunction

VERIFY DTC

• Are either U1900 or U0073, or both, displayed, by either the instrument cluster or the PCM, or both?

Yes

Perform troubleshooting according to the corresponding DTC inspection.

(See DTC U0073, U2516 [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT KEY IS PROGRAMMED TO PCM

• Perform procedures for when replacing the PCM.

  (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/KEY ADDITION AND CLEARING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM].)

• Using the registered key, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

• Is the DTC displayed?

• Security light: 23

• M-MDS: B2139/P1260

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

VERIFY THAT KEY IS PROGRAMMED TO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

• Perform procedures for when replacing the instrument cluster.

  (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/KEY ADDITION AND CLEARING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM].)

• Using the registered key, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

• Is the DTC displayed?

• Security light: 23

• M-MDS: B2139/P1260

Yes

• Replace the instrument cluster and perform the resetting procedure for the immobilizer system when replacing the instrument cluster.

  (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

• Go to the next step.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

• Is the DTC displayed again?

• Security light: 23

Yes

• Replace the PCM and perform the resetting procedure for the immobilizer system when replacing the PCM.
