Volume increases/decreases while driving the vehicle / Possible DTC: —

    Troubleshooting hints
  • Audio unit malfunction (without Bose)

  • Audio amplifier malfunction (with Bose)

NOTE:

  • Inspect the ALC function (without Bose) or Audio Pilot function (with Bose) while driving the vehicle and playing a CD.


Diagnostic procedure

  • Does the ALC function or AudioPilot function turn on?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

2

  • Turn the ALC function or AudioPilot function off.

  • Does the sound change while driving the vehicle?

Yes

Replace the audio unit.

No

The system is normal. Explain the ALC function to the customer.
